On Monday, February 21st, 2022, in collaboration with BULGARI, the Fondazione Sozzani presented the “Hype NFT” talk with François Berthoud, Boris Barboni, BULGARI Managing Director, Alessandro Brunello, Digital Entrepreneur, and Ashumi S of Metaverse Creative Agency Mad XR.
On the occasion of the official launch of his NFTs, François Berthoud presents five works. He’s among the first illustrators to collaborate with MakersPlace. Seen as one of the most whimsical, refined and iconic contemporary illustrators, Berthoud explores the boundaries of the visual imagination by bringing fashion to its artistic and cultural extremes.
About François Berthoud
Born in 1961 in Le Locle in French-tongue Switzerland, François Berthoud is recognized as one of his generation’s most original fashion illustrators. Characterized by distinctive features that combine the language of graphics and painting, his work features a combination of art, fashion, and design. Since the mid-1980s, François Berthoud has dedicated himself to artistic activity with books, exhibitions, and special projects. His works belong to many public and private collections and institutions.
About Alessandro Brunello
Alessandro Brunello is the Director of WRONG THEORY – the first IRL production for the NFT co-founder of the Bibipom exchange, president of Mirai Labs, Co-founder of Ofala Tech and InartNft, a marketplace that offers in NFTS physical artworks of great masters of the past. A Fintech and Blockchain expert, Brunello has held the European Crowdfunding record since 2018. Considered a reference figure in the epochal transition from Crowd-Economy to Token-Economy, Alessandro is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and IAG (Italian Angels for Growth). In 2021-2022 he curated the first museum exhibition of Crypto Art, “2121 Crypto Art is Now,” at the Museo Della Permanente di Milano. In 2022 with Highsnob aka Eskalator and Kosmi, he brought an NFT artwork to the stage of the Sanremo Festival for the first time.

Each Francois Berthoud NFT will be accompanied by the physical work from which it originates: two limited edition NFTs, two single edition NFTs, some animated, proposed together with the original work: BULGARI Necklace (2018), Snake (2019) and two illustrations “a black snake” (2021); finally “Head” from 1997, which will be included as part of a raffle.
