François Berthoud (Dropping 2/28)
François Berthoud is recognized as one of the most original
illustrators of his time. His high–impact images bring art, fashion and communication together. Since the mid-eighties, after having worked as an art director for fashion magazines, he is mainly engaged in artistic activities.
In collaboration with Bvlgari and Mad XR, Berthoud explores the boundaries of the visual imagination by bringing fashion to its artistic and cultural extremes.
Federico Solmi (Dropping 3/1)
Federico Solmi was born in Bologna, Italy in 1973 and has lived and works in Brooklyn, New York since 1999. Solmi’s work utilizes bright colors and a satirical aesthetic to portray a dystopian vision of our present-day society.
Inspired by the traditional cinematic techniques used in silent film, REELS depicts characters dressed in an eccentric range of historical costumes, immersed in a cyber atmosphere of the future.
Gregory Siff (Dropping 3/2)
American artist Gregory Siff is best known for his highly emotive style that merges abstraction, pop and action painting. By using inks, acrylic and spray-paint, he creates iconic elements in the form of storyboards, capturing time and nostalgia.
In “Love Language,” each solitary item swirls with the next to create the sheet music of someone’s love life. A visual ethnographic journal no matter what language you speak or what culture you’re from, one can read this poem and understand it’s meaning.
