Pascal Blanche – Dropping 2/2

Pascal Blanche is a digital illustrator and sci-fi concept artist based in Montreal, Canada. Blanche is known across digital art communities for his hyper realistic depictions of unknown worlds which seamlessly blur the boundaries between fantasy and sci-fi worlds. His 3D renderings are extremely rich in detail, color and story.

Blanche’s artwork was named as a Zbrush Top Row Post of the year 2019 and he has received multiple awards from CGHub, CGTalk, and Artstation. His artworks have been exhibited in the Danese Corey Gallery’s LINE AND FRAME A Survey of European Comic Art, spotlighted on the cover for Heavymetal magazine, and sold as high end physical collectibles by the House of GOG.

IMMORTALS

IMMORTALS is about the never ending cycle of generations. In this collection, Blanche approaches this universal theme, inspired by the battles of the new gods against the old Titans- Each generation at the peak of its youth, feeling immortal and invincible. Through IMMORTALS, Blanche also explores the never ending fight against dated conventions, old systems that can never evolve but don’t want to step down either.

For this collection, Blanche continues experimentations around a cover retro look, with bright colors and Halftone Patterns. He draws inspiration from the comic books of the 80’s, the fantasy cover art of the 70’s, and artists like Frazetta, Corben, Bisley, and Moebius. Using modern digital tools like Zbrush, Keyshot, and Photoshop, Blanche blends the 3D and 2D disciplines into a whole new and unique style.
