Manchester City Football Club
Manchester City FC is an English Premier League club initially founded in 1880 as St Mark’s West Gorton. It officially became Manchester City FC in 1894 and has since then gone onto win the European Cup Winners’ Cup, seven League Championship titles, including five Premier League titles (2012, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2021), and six FA Cups. Manchester City FC is one of 10 clubs comprising the City Football Group and counts New York City FC and Melbourne City FC among its sister clubs.
Under manager Pep Guardiola, one of the most highly decorated managers in world football, the Club plays its domestic and UEFA Champions League home fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, a spectacular 55,000 seat arena that City have called home since 2003. Today, the Stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art performance training and youth development facility located in the heart of East Manchester. Featuring a 7,000 capacity Academy Stadium, the City Football Academy is also where Manchester City Women’s Football Club and the Elite Development Squad train on a daily basis and play their competitive home games.
Alan Bolton
Alan Bolton is an Irish mixed media digital artist living in Tenerife, Spain. A multidisciplinary creator, Bolton’s work is not defined by one form of media and includes photography, videography, graphic design, 3D art, augmented reality, digital collage and more. His works are imaginative with a surrealist, abstract feel and a practice is centered around experimentation and evolution.
A great deal of Bolton’s part work consists of social media content for brands and music artists with past clients including renowned musicians such as Tiësto, Deadmau5, Jay Robinson, and Example.
“I’m inspired heavily by music, spirituality, technology, and nature. Each one of my pieces is special to me and I like to give a back story to each piece and what went through my mind in creating the artwork.”

Creation
Following the success of its first drop in May with artist Jon Noorlander to mark another Premier League Title, City is continuing to build its presence and collector community in the NFT space with the launch of the Creation collection, produced by Alan Bolton.
The upcoming collaboration between Manchester City and Alan Bolton offers fans and collectors the opportunity to participate in one of the most exciting and creative sports NFT collections to date. Creation comprises three pieces by mixed media artist, Alan Bolton: The Football Laboratory, The Football Academy and To The Blue Moon. The artworks combine into a triptych depicting an abstract representation of the process of creating the perfect footballer, traveling through ‘The Football Laboratory’ and around ‘The Football Academy’, with the finished player emerging on the pitch at Manchester City, having successfully made it ‘To The Blue Moon’.
As a part of the drop, there will also be a limited edition collectors’ draw featuring a fourth artwork, The Football Artists, with each edition bearing the signature of a different member of Manchester City’s 2021/22 squad. Participation will be open to owners of artwork by Manchester City or Alan Bolton, and the winners of the draw will each receive one of the unique pieces.
