We are excited to announce the launch of MakersPlace Curators – a group of artists, collectors, and community members who are helping to bring new creative voices to our marketplace!
We have empowered our Curators with the ability to fast-track the verification of new artists on MakersPlace, whose work they believe will speak to our growing audience and bring fresh artistic perspectives to the platform. As such, our Curators will play an important role in decentralizing the onboarding process on MakersPlace and expanding the voices and talents represented in our community.
Our mission at MakersPlace is to enable a vibrant future for digital creativity, and we want to thank our Curators for joining us in that endeavor. While we are just getting the program through its first beta phase, we see a bright future – from Curator-led drops to storefronts and beyond – and look forward to sharing updates soon!
Our launch features some of the early community members who have helped to push NFTs and MakersPlace to where we are today – but there are many more who deserve recognition! If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact us at onboarding@makersplace.com.
In the meantime, we wanted to highlight just a few (of many more) of our initial participants and their curatorial visions, to show a glimpse of the future:
WhaleShark:
WhaleShark is a NFTPhotography people’s champion, recently helping to fueling the surge of interest and awareness for the medium within the world of digital art. As $WHALE community vault’s volumes grow, so does his interest in spreading this love to new and old creators through curation on MakersPlace. With connections to highly undiscovered talent, and an interest in all kinds of styles of photography, WhaleShark is excitedly swimming towards the most open of NFT waters right now.

Kate the Cursed:
Kate the Cursed has been an artist in the digital art realm for years, conjuring a dedicated following through an impressive assortment of “authentic, outdated display technology.”
To claim an artwork of Kate’s, be prepared for an impressive floor price of over 1 ETH.

Robek:
The creator behind ‘The Avatar Project’, and now involved in another series catching the community’s attention, Curio Cards, Robek is one of many driving forces for digital art and the collectible frenzy that we are experiencing!
His collection on MakersPlace includes artworks from legends like Frank Frazetta, cryptopom, Jrdsctt, and sgt_slaughtermelon.
