I’ve always felt like in between two worlds. Fantasy and Sci-Fi, traditional and digital. I like to bring that sense of classic cover art in my work, while trying to revisit it for new audiences. I usually sculpt more than I paint my illustrations, always going from 3D to 2D. I like to blur the lines and that’s what makes my work so unique and identifiable

Pascal Blanché is a digital illustrator and sci-fi concept artist based in Montreal, Canada. Blanché is known across digital art communities for his hyper realistic depictions of unknown worlds which seamlessly blur the boundaries between fantasy and sci-fi worlds. His 3D renderings are extremely rich in detail, color and story.
Blanché got his start in the arts early on, experimenting across mediums including photography, painting, and sculpture. He was eventually introduced to the Amiga animation software and his passion for digital art quickly followed. Blanche is highly influenced by sci-fi and fantasy art, naming Star Wars as one of his earliest inspirations. He was also extremely fascinated by all things stop motion and comic book culture. Later inspirations include artworks from 80’s cover artists , like Frank Frazetta and Chris Foss, who have played a crucial role in shaping his aesthetic sense of composition and colors.
Blanché’s artwork was named as a Zbrush Top Row Post of the year 2019 and he has received multiple awards from CGHub, CGTalk, and Artstation. His artworks have been exhibited in the Danese Corey Gallery’s LINE AND FRAME A Survey of European Comic Art, spotlighted on the cover for Heavymetal magazine, and sold as high end physical collectibles by the House of GOG.
