Manchester City Football Club
Manchester City FC is an English Premier League club initially founded in 1880 as St Mark’s West Gorton. It officially became Manchester City FC in 1894 and has since then gone onto win the European Cup Winners’ Cup, seven League Championship titles, including five Premier League titles (2012, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2021), and six FA Cups. Manchester City FC is one of 10 clubs comprising the City Football Group and counts New York City FC and Melbourne City FC among its sister clubs.
Under manager Pep Guardiola, one of the most highly decorated managers in world football, the Club plays its domestic and UEFA Champions League home fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, a spectacular 55,000 seat arena that City have called home since 2003. Today, the Stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art performance training and youth development facility located in the heart of East Manchester. Featuring a 7,000 capacity Academy Stadium, the City Football Academy is also where Manchester City Women’s Football Club and the Elite Development Squad train on a daily basis and play their competitive home games.
Jon Noorlander
Jon Noorlander is a multidisciplinary artist working in the creative field for over a decade. His artistic journey began at an early age, surrounded by different art forms stemming from his family. His mother, a painter and father, an architect. The Swedish artist has gained inspiration for his designs through time spent living and working in London, Los Angeles and currently New York.
During his 20 plus years in the creative direction industry, Noorlander has created immersive digital experiences for huge entities across the board be it tech to movies, music, and even beer. Some of his exciting projects during his advertising days include DoClasse — Thermal Coat 2019, Essie, Adobe Remix, the Apple iPhone X reveal, Apple Watch, Budlight, the ATT/Direct TV NFL commercial, Ford. He’s also responsible for openers and ads for Deadpool 2 and 300 — Rise of an Empire, as well as Major Lazer’s Light it Up Remix (which has reached over 400 million views on Youtube).
His creative force is expressed through print, motion and installations. They are bold, contemporary and abstract.

The Drop – 1
‘1′ is a digital art collaboration between Manchester City and renowned multidisciplinary artist Jon Noorlander. 1 marks Manchester City’s first ever NFT collection and commemorates the club’s triumph in the 2020/21 Premier League season. The NFT collection is the first ever created by Premier League Champions and is released to the world less than 24 hours after Manchester City lift the trophy.
The 1 collaboration brings together two creators renowned for their fluid, technical and aesthetically pleasing styles in their respective mediums of football and digital art. The pieces in 1 celebrate Manchester City’s third title success in the last four years, brought to life in a novel way through Jon’s kinetic mastery and bold, dynamic style.
The 1 collection comprises four different pieces: The Champions Celebrate, Signed by the Champions, The Champions Mosaics and The Champions Medal. The Champions Medal will be available either through purchase during the 90 minute open edition or through the free raffle. The raffle will begin at the time of drop, last 5 minutes and offer a limited set of 11 editions of The Champions Medal.
A portion of Manchester City’s profits from the sale will go to the City in the Community charity, earmarked for the Manchester Cityzens Giving for Recovery project. The project uses football to support the mental health of local young people in Manchester in the wake of the pandemic, as part of City Football Group’s global recovery campaign bringing together its clubs, thousands of staff, players, coaches, and millions of fans to help communities get back on their feet in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
