José Delbo

José Delbo is an Argentinian born comic artist who has illustrated a number of Silver and Bronze Age comic classics. He is the artist behind the pen of some of your favorite superheroes and comic classics — Wonder Woman, Batman, Transformers, The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine comic book, Billy The Kid, just to name a few. His signature penciller style is reflective of the old school comic illustrations he’s famous for: Highly expressive and emotional characters depicted with bold, defined ink lines. The level of expression emphasized in Delbo’s work enables artworks to tell full stories without the need of word or diction.

Delbo’s work is timeless, and immersing himself in the latest art movement taking place on the Blockchain has made it even more so. Since his foray into rare digital art via MakersPlace in 2020, Delbo’s works have been amongst the most sought after in the crypto art space, breaking multiple records and selling out within seconds. His body of released work on the blockchain is currently valued at $2.3M+ and his collaboration with Trevor Jones, Genesis, holds the spot for the third highest digital art sale in history, selling for 302.5 ETH.

COVID Series (The beginning) + Original Comic Book (Death)

Delbo’s first ever rare digital artworks featured an original series pitting his most famed characters from Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Transformers, Billy the Kid and more against the global pandemic. His first-ever NFT artwork The Last Son of Krypton Fights for Humankind sold for a MakersPlace all-time-high 27ETH ($~8,190) to prominent collector Whaleshark. The full three-part series has sold for a total 65.5 ETH (~$22.5K).

Delbo’s introduction to Crypto Art also marked the introduction of an original comic and character after years brewing in his mind. Released as a limited edition of 250, all editions have since sold out generating ~$26K in primary market sales.

Active Secondary Market

Delbo’s limited edition artworks have also been some of the most sought-after artworks on MakersPlace, with each new release causing a frenzy among collectors, selling out within minutes. Single editions of his most notable editioned pieces Call to Arms (20/20) has sold on the secondary market for an average price of $9,401 (+3516%, from its original sale price of $260) and A Hero’s Purpose (10/10) recently sold for $9,402 (+1000%, from its original sale price of $380). Delbo’s secondary sales performance has extended across platforms with artworks from his recent NiftyGateway Drop artworks. Hackatao

Hackatao is a renowned artist duo birthed in Milan in 2007, who has been pioneering the crypto art space since 2018. They are known across the community for their iconic contemporary creation style which incorporates elements of street art, graphic design, tattoo art and more. Hackatao’s artworks span across mediums and artistic genres, yet almost always carry important social commentary, often centered psychology, humanity, the environment and crypto. As early crypto art pioneers, the duo are amongst the most celebrated crypto art OGs and have consistently remained on the list for top 10 highest grossing crypto artists of all time.

Hackatao has been a leader in the crypto art market since its inception years ago. They have consistently remained amongst the highest grossing crypto artists of all time (currently ranked 8). Recently, Hackatao made waves over at NiftyGateway with their open edition artwork Queen of Pop, in which 59 editions were sold for a primary sale price of $2,300 and achieved quick success on the secondary sales market with an average resale price of $8067 (+250.75%). Their 98 edition artwork Queen of Multitude instantly sold out and saw an increase of +283%, with an original sales price of $999 and average secondary sales price of $3,827.

Most recently, Hackatao’s iconic pieces have been selling for $100K+, with Queeny recently selling for 140 ETH (~$211,272), with recent secondary volume topping ~$577,350 in a single day.
