Andrew Ferrer — Dropping 6/23🔥
Andrew Ferrer is a digital artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. He was exposed to the world of digital creation through his father who was a 3D designer at a video game company. Visiting his father’s work and witnessing the creation of a variety of 3D characters brought on a strong interest in digital art and character creation within Ferrer. This interest quickly developed into an undying passion, leading to Ferrer diving into the digital arts world head on.
Much of Ferrer’s work is inspired by an exploration of human expression. Ferrer is fascinated by the way a simple expression is capable of revealing an intricate story. He taps into this fascination in many ways — In addition to his 3D digital creations, Ferrer examines expression through drawing, sculpting and acting. His goal as a multi-disciplinary artist is to communicate with his audience messages that can not be expressed in words.
The Lady and The Dragon
The physical aspects of life are full of limits, confinements and boundaries. Love, however, has no bounds.
— Andrew Ferrer
In The Lady and The Dragon, Ferrer steps away from his signature surrealist style and into a world of dreams and fantasy — A world where anything is possible and love dominates all. A story with no words, Ferrer’s passion for emotion and expression continues to shine through even in his newest style.
Vache Morte — Dropping 6/25 🔥
Vache Morte is a man of many talents: Besides being a digital artist, he is an internationally acclaimed composer, producer, performer, and videographer. He’s owned various art galleries and spaces over the years, and has been running a TV production company in Montreal, Canada for the past ten years.
His introduction to the world of digital arts occurred in 90s through his exposure to cinema, which at the time was experiencing a digital revolution of its own. Witnessing the possibilities that digital film and camera held for creativity, Vache Morte began exploring this new medium, and the rest was history. He describes his current digital style as dark, edgy and dystopian. Old school sci-fi, Japanese animation, and cinema soundtracks are all poignant sources of inspiration for Morte. His work is known for blending the boundaries of various artistic mediums.
In the Heart of the Hemoglobin City
My reflection on AI leans towards control, censorship, and a direction to a utopian existence that is controlled by or involving AI in some sort of nefarious way.
— Vache Morte
His debut MakersPlace creation, In the Heart of the Hemoglobin City, summarizes Vache Morte’s dynamic style and craft as a digital artist. This shifting painting shows viewers what a day in the Hemoglobin City looks like: A dystopian universe made up of blood cells and an AI supervisor. An artwork and story that is sure to leave viewers asking themselves… what if?
Javier Arrés x Katy Arrington— Dropping 6/26🔥
Javier Arrés is a world-renowned motion / GIF artist and a 2019 London Art Biennale winner based in Motril, Spain. Arrés finds inspiration within the sweeping views from his childhood home overlooking his hometown and the beautiful architecture within it.
Arrés is known for his manically detailed illustrations of fantastical scenery highlighting cities, architecture and machines. He brings these worlds to life through what he calls “Visual Toys”. Through these Visual Toys, Arres invites the viewer into a fantastical world, inspiring the viewer to simply play with their imaginations. These “Visual Toys” are notorious for selling at record speeds and prices.
Katy Arrington is a well-known illustrator and digital painter based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She has gained a bit of a cult following for her anime style girls who vary in style from cute and kawaii, to eerie and evil.
She’s had an arguably tumultuous relationship with art, and even quit all together in her mid-twenties. But, lucky for us, her passion for art remained strong, and ultimately lead to her not only returning to the art world, but achieving great success within it. When she is not creating, Arrington is helping share knowledge with other artists on how to make it big in the art world.
Curious on how the two artists’ distinct styles were going to meld to create a new piece of art, Javier sketched an initial idea to incorporate Katy’s character illustrations into his universe. Crypto Combat was realized!
-Javier Arrés and Katy Arrington
Arrington’s classic painted characters are accentuated with Arrés signature animation style. The result being an out of this world visual toy unlike anything either artists has ever created.
