Recap: MakersPlace + NonFungible #COVID19Relief Charity Auction

On March 31st 2020, we teamed up with NonFungible and 33 artists on MakersPlace to hold a special charity auction to celebrate our partnership with NonFungible, and more importantly to build awareness and provide support for COVID-19 relief. We’re excited to say that the auction was a huge success!

Over the course of the two-day auction we raised $3,636 which was donated to the Coronavirus Relief Fund at GlobalGiving. The proceeds included all MakersPlace platform fees and, for the majority, all proceeds from the sale donated by the artist.

We want to say thank you to all 33 artists for their generous gift. Everyone is in some way affected by COVID-19, including all the artists, so this was a huge gesture and sign of support by all the following:

The Artworks

All participating artists were encouraged to create an original piece that was inspired by current events. Not surprisingly, most pieces were in some way inspired by COVID-19, which in turn helped build awareness.
